I’m also managing a team going across multiple timezones so I can feel the challenge too.

Do you have any examples of over-communication and making implicit message explicit?

Over-communication happens on a daily basis. For instance, if you're in the office, you might already who is working on, what are the blockers. Visual cues, small talks, etc., really help there. Working remote, and async, every need to be explicit about it, specially if you're in a different time zone and someone else need to continue working on your task or unblocking it somehow, for example.
